French Vintage Wedding Gown Sketch - Patchori

$150.00
Sold Out

An exceptionally rare collection of four original bridal fashion sketches, sourced from a private collector in France.

Each gown was drawn by hand and given her own name—conceived not simply as a dress, but as a woman with a character and story of her own. On the reverse, handwritten notes describe the gown in further detail: its fabric, construction, silhouette, and finishing touches. These are the intimate working documents behind a design, preserving both the first gesture of the artist’s hand and the thoughtful decisions that followed.

The beautifully elongated figures, restrained ink lines, and occasional markings of age give each sketch an unmistakably French elegance. “Modèle Déposé” appears along the bottom of the artwork, indicating that the design was registered or protected at the time it was created.

There are only four available, and no two are alike. Framed on her own, one becomes a quietly striking piece of original artwork; together, they create the feeling of a small, collected archive from a French couture atelier.

Each sketch will arrive with its handwritten notes preserved on the reverse.

Please note that these are genuine vintage works on paper and carry evidence of their history, including areas of foxing, discoloration, soft creasing, and other timeworn markings. These are not considered flaws, but part of the character and provenance of each original piece.
