The Grounded Creative Editorial
January Edition
Hello, I am Jocelyn, the founder of The Grounded Creative. The month of January is about slowing down to speed up. It was created as a sanctuary for your creative soul. A place to feel at home and return to the quiet place within us all that holds all the answers.
I hope you enjoy this complimentary edition.
The Grounded Creative Editorial Monthly Inspiration
Each edition of The Grounded Creative holds a small collection of reflections, material studies, and visual pauses to simply absorb. Sometimes it’s an essay, sometimes it’s a way of looking more closely at a material like plaster and kaliche, sometimes it’s an observation about process, patience, or attention.
There’s no formula, only a collection of curiosity and care. These are pieces meant to be read slowly, revisited, and lived with rather than consumed. Think of these as a warm blanket ready when you need it.
Each member of the editorial will also receive first access to the collection releases before the general public.

Meet the Founder Jocelyn Kempe
My heart has always been leading the way to either help or be a creator of a space for those who need exactly what I needed - quiet. It is in the moments of stillness I can hear the most. Creating anything of value takes time and this new editorial, The Grounded Creative is place that feeds our souls so we can create from a balanced and grounded foundation.
I am based out of Arizona and create from my tiny studio which I also call my sleeping room. My family and I live simply and slowly through the seasons along with our beloved whippet, Popcorn.
My work takes me to France to source vintage and antique frames that hold many of my plaster pieces. Textiles are also a source of deep inspiration for me and searching for these in France brings me joy - the fabric is used to create special handmade bags that hold every plaster.
I am glad you are here to join me on this journey. Welcome!
