Botanical: Gomphrena Globosa
Pressed: October 10, 2026
Medium: Plaster with Wild Clay Wash
Dimensions: 8” x 4”
The Practice
A practice of companionship.
Hold the piece in both hands. Notice its weight resting in your palms. Take a few unhurried breaths.
Look at the two blooms. Bring to mind someone whose company lets you feel at ease. Recall an ordinary moment together: a conversation, a walk, sitting in the same room.
There is no need to find a perfect memory. Let one small detail come back to you.
Stay with it for a moment, then quietly say:
“For this moment, I’ll sit beside you.”
Place the piece somewhere you will encounter it again.
